Industrial Visit to Toyota Kirloskar Motor Enhances Practical Learning for MBA Students

The School of Commerce and Management organized an industrial visit on 6 February 2026 for I MBA students to Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Bidadi. The visit aimed to provide hands-on exposure to real-time industrial operations and advanced manufacturing systems.

During the visit, students gained insights into Toyota’s production systems, quality management practices, automation technologies, and corporate work culture. Special emphasis was placed on the Toyota Production System (TPS), which focuses on continuous improvement and waste reduction. Industry professionals explained how operational efficiency and employee involvement contribute to organizational excellence.

The visit helped bridge the gap between theoretical classroom concepts and real-world industrial practices. Faculty members accompanied the students to ensure academic integration and reflective learning. The initiative reinforced the importance of experiential learning and strengthened students’ understanding of operations and supply chain management in a global manufacturing environment.
