Industrial Visit to Akshaya Patra Foundation Highlights CSR and Sustainability
The School of Commerce and Management organized an industrial visit for IV Semester BBA (BBAB) students to The Akshaya Patra Foundation, ISKCON, on 6 February 2026. The visit aimed to connect classroom learning with real-world applications of management, sustainability, and social responsibility.
Students received first-hand exposure to large-scale food production, supply chain management, quality control, and logistics operations. Officials at Akshaya Patra explained the operational strategies supporting the Mid-Day Meal Programme, one of the world’s largest school meal initiatives. The session highlighted how efficient management practices contribute to social impact and nutritional security.
The visit enhanced students’ understanding of social entrepreneurship, corporate social responsibility, and sustainable operations. It also demonstrated how management principles can be applied to address societal challenges. The initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to experiential learning and value-based education.
